Russell Roof Tiles Appoints New Technical Solar Manager

FOLLOWING the launch of its solar offering earlier this year, Russell Roof Tiles is strengthening its expertise in the solar PV sector with the appointment of a new technical solar manager.

The roof tile manufacturer says the role will enable the firm to expand its reach into the market and improve the support it offers to builders, specifiers, and contractors across the country.

New Technical Solar Manager

Matt Collins rejoins Russell Roof Tiles and brings with him a wealth of solar and renewables experience, following a four-year stint in the renewables industry. He had previously worked as a sales executive for the company.

Matt will support the existing sales and technical teams; establish his own network and specification work; and assist in the delivery of installer training, and design work, enhancing the manufacturer’s support for its customers. He will also work closely with external SAP assessors to help them meet the evolving demands of UK building regulations for solar panels on new builds.

First Solar Offering

RussFast Solar, the manufacturer’s first solar offering to market, was launched in May this year following 18 months of research and development. As the demand for solar power in the UK continues to increase, the ‘upgraded and improved’ 480W solar PV panel was introduced in September.

RussFast Solar has been designed to be compatible with all Russell Roof Tiles interlocking tile profiles. The solar offering is part of Russell Roof Tiles’ investment in continuous product development and has the same credentials as its concrete products.
