Read the latest magazine Charity News RRT Charity Quiz Raises £12,000 in One Night 21 November 2022 RUSSELL ROOF Tiles (RRT) recently hosted its annual charity quiz at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton, raising over £12,000 for its local charities and community causes. A total of 53 teams of four, including customers, friends, family, staff, and suppliers from across the UK, joined the roof tile manufacturer for an evening of competitive quizzing. Charity Quiz The Derbyshire County Cricket Club team – led by Chairman Ian Morgan OBE – were the winners of the night with 55.5 points. Following close in second place was the Cherokee’s and team leader Burton Albion’s Chairman Ben Robinson MBE with 53 points. Managing Director at RRT, Andrew Hayward, chaired the quiz with support from Area Sales Manager Ross Hayward and Commercial Services Director Paul McLoughlin. Contributing to the £12,000 total, guests also took part in an auction, bidding thousands of pounds on items such as a five-star holiday to Spain and corporate hospitality tickets for Wimbledon. The evening’s raffle event also added £2,100 to the night’s charity pot, with prizes including beauty hampers, cinema and football tickets, and even paddle board lessons. Give 4 Good This year, as part of its Give 4 Good project, RRT is supporting 11 different causes including food banks, animal centres, mental health charities, veterans, the homeless, and blood bikes. The company aims to raise a total £50,000 for good causes this year. Andrew Hayward said: “This was our biggest and best quiz so far. We had just over 200 people attend and so we want to say a massive thank you.
