Roofing Specialist Launches New Self-Service Digital Platform

2 September 2026

Roofing specialist BMI UK & Ireland has launched a new self-service digital platform that provides roofing professionals with 24/7 access to critical business information.

Developed using customer insights, the platform is part of BMI’s wider digitalisation strategy to support the roofing trade as it adapts to 21st century needs.

Self-Service Digital Platform

MyBMI is designed to be a one-stop knowledge hub that helps roofing projects run smoothly, without the restriction of traditional office hours. Supporting businesses on their own terms, the platform allows contractors and merchants to easily access order history, pricing information, invoices, delivery updates and technical resources at any time of day.

By providing access to critical information, MyBMI aims to reduce the need for follow-up calls, giving customers more time to focus on business needs, says BMI.

Merchants can benefit from the MyBMI central hub by directly accessing their full order history from the past 12 months, as well as tracking every order. These live updates provide accurate delivery windows to help customers balance multiple accounts with varying stock requirements.

Similarly, contractors with access to MyBMI can set data-backed expectations for clients by using the latest estimated delivery dates, live pricing information and tools like PlanMaster. By syncing directly with BMI’s internal database, the platform is designed to provide the transparency needed to maintain daily operations.

Users of MyBMI will also benefit from e-learning modules, allowing them to access on-demand training at a time convenient to them, supporting contractors as they grow their skills and confidence.

“We understand that the roofing industry isn’t a 9-5 trade,” explained Kimberley Brandon, Head of Customer Services at BMI UK & Ireland.

“MyBMI enables our customers to access key information when it best suits them, whether that’s in the office, on-site or outside traditional working hours. Ultimately, we’re giving customers greater visibility and control over their businesses, allowing them to work more efficiently.”

Customer Insights

The platform has been developed using customer insights, helping to ensure MyBMI proactively supports everyday work. During development, BMI worked with a pilot group of customers, whose feedback helped shape the platform and confirmed its ease of use.

Kimberley added: “As we expand our digital offering, we’re giving our customers the opportunity to help shape the systems they use. We’re committed to updating our legacy support to meet the modern requirements of the trade, and customer feedback is a central part of that.”

MyBMI is available to use now.
