Roofing Membrane Manufacturer Expands Training with New Centre

A NEW state-of-the-art training centre was opened on 4th November at the RENOLIT UK factory in Cramlington, Northumberland.

The official inauguration was attended by the company’s senior management.

The new facility is a significant expansion of the company’s extensive European training infrastructure to support installers and help guarantee results for the end-client.

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN roofing products trains approximately 300 people a year, equipping them with practical skills and in-depth technical knowledge. The training covers everything from understanding membrane specifications to mastering advanced welding techniques, ensuring that installations consistently meet and exceed industry standards.

The company’s commitment to continuous professional development helps installers to be fully prepared to tackle complex projects efficiently and to the highest quality.

“Without adequately trained professionals, even the highest-quality products cannot achieve their full potential, jeopardising the long-term performance and reliability of the final installation”, explains Renaat Demeulemeester, Head of Roof & Water care at RENOLIT.

This collaboration extends to the roofing industry supply chain, demonstrated by the SPRA choosing the new RENOLIT ALKORPLAN roofing products training centre as the venue for its “contractor day on 5^th November.

Bringing together contractors, specifiers, and other professionals to discuss best practices, technical standards, and project management, the SPRA event showed RENOLIT ALKORPLAN’s position as a central hub for professional excellence and training within the industry.
