Jobs Saved as Roofing Company Sold Out of Administration

A ROOFING COMPANY has been sold out of administration, saving a number of jobs.

Allard Construction ceased trading earlier this year, taking on no new work after 17 January, before bringing in administrators.

The business was sold in a pre-pack deal at the end of February, saving 11 jobs.

Allard Construction was founded in 1957 and specialised in roofing, working on residential, educational and commercial buildings in Hertfordshire and London.

The purchasing company has not yet been revealed, with the downstream effects on the supply chain also unknown.

A statement from administrators Begbies Traynor said: “We can confirm that Allard Construction Ltd (“the Company”) has ceased trading and has formally engaged insolvency practitioners from Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP.

“Jeremy Karr and Simon Killick of Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP were appointed to lead the Company through a pre-pack administration with their formal appointment and the sale of the business being effected on 24 February 2020

“The purchaser of the Company’s business has taken on the remaining employees with a view to taking the business forward.

“We cannot make any further comment at this time.”
