A roof tile manufacturer has surpassed its fundraising target, raising more than £60,000 as part of its diamond jubilee year in 2025.

Russell Roof Tiles has boosted its support for good causes, raising a total of £60,448.16 for its community fund, Give4Good, which supports local and international organisations, chosen by its staff and close to its three sites.

Supporting Local Communities

Give4Good was launched in 2022 as a way of supporting local initiatives with fun and challenging events championed by staff, suppliers, customers, and partners.

Donations of £8,731.40 each were handed out to charities close to its Burton sites, including Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire Blood Bikes, Burton YMCA, Burton Albion Community Trust, and Scropton Riding for the Disabled.

In Lochmaben, £4701.53 was presented to Veterans Gardens Dumfries, Sports Drive Unlimited, D&G Canine Rescue Centre, and Lockerbie Wildlife Trust, as well as £6714.44 to the Kenya-based Footprints Family.

Fundraising events have included the firm’s Annual Big Quiz, hosted at Burton Albion FC’s Pirelli Stadium in November which added a record £20,950 to the total.

Managing Director Andrew Hayward said: “It’s an important part of our company values that we support our local communities, recognising those who make a real difference to people’s lives. It’s fitting that in our diamond jubilee year we boosted this support even further.”
