Roof Tile Manufacturer Invests in Health and Safety

CONCRETE TILE MANUFACTURER Russell Roof Tiles has invested to meet new standards in Health and Safety for staff ahead of schedule.

The latest ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) 45001 Standard for occupational health and safety, had its guidelines revised in 2018 to further support businesses in providing a healthy and safe working environment for employees.

Companies were given a three-year transitional period and deadline of March 2021, allowing sufficient time to fully adapt to the new requirements.

With investment, Russell was able to meet the new standard 18 months early, in half the time of the transition period.

Responsibility to staff

Russell Roof Tiles manufactures at three sites Burton-on-Trent and in Lochmaben, producing concrete roof tiles and fittings for UK house builders, social housing and commercial projects.
