Read the latest magazine Industry News RIBA President Responds to Theresa May’s Resignation 24 May 2019 THERESA MAY has announced that she will quit as Conservative leader on 7 June 2019, paving the way for a contest to decide a new prime minister. RIBA Response Ben Derbyshire Commenting on the resignation, RIBA President, Ben Derbyshire, said: “The news that Theresa May will step down as Prime Minister leaves the country in limbo while the clock ticks down to the latest deadline of 31 October. “While much is uncertain, one thing remains clear – a no deal is no option for architecture or the wider construction sector.
