Staff from Pasquill’s Inverness branch created a smaller design last year, and after receiving positive feedback, decided to supersize the tree for Christmas 2018. Standing at 23 feet tall, the tree comprises of 11 different segments with a star on top. Pasquill Truss-mas Tree “After the success of the previous year’s ‘Trussmas tree’ we decided to make a larger version this year. “It has proved to be a great success, giving our customers the Christmas spirit during the festive period,” said Donaldson Matheson, Senior Designer at Pasquill. The design team used MiTek Pamir 3D software to carefully plan the structure. The 3D modelling and augmented reality allowed the team to understand the scale of the creation and how it would stand. Once the design process was completed, the individual pieces were cut, pressed and plated together at the branch. Anchoring the base to the ground allowed the individual pieces to be put into place to form the structure. Lights were added as a final touch giving the tree its festive feel. >> Read more about roof trusses in the news Previous article Britcon Appointed to Build 68,000sq ft Scheme at Hereford Enterprise ParkNext article Common Christmas Household Disasters Revealed Share article You may also like View all News Industry News +1 25 September 2026 Just a Quarter of Life-Critical Fire Defects Fixed in Social Housing Since 2017 Health & Safety +2 25 September 2026 Warning Issued as ‘Deadly’ Roof Sheet Freebie Offers Put Lives at Risk Health & Safety +2 25 September 2026 Two Construction Firms Fined Following Design Change Failure Industry News +2 24 September 2026 Industry Calls for Stronger SME Support to Turn Vocational GCSEs into Careers Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch Check out the latest issue 126 September-October 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch
