NFRC UK Roofing Awards 2023

THE DEADLINE for entering the UK Roofing Awards 2023, which recognises roofing, cladding and rainscreen projects as well as individuals, is just one week away—entries close on 13 January.

The criteria to enter an award is for the completion date of the project to have been between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2022.

Projects can be entered if they were completed by a roofing contractor who is a member of one of the following bodies:

Manufacturers, architects, and specifiers can also submit projects, but they must ensure the contractor is a member of one of the above specified bodies.

If you’re still not sure whether you can enter, email the NFRC Events team.

Entries can be made online here.

Head Judge and NFRC’s Head of Technical and Training, Bob Richardson, shared what entries should include to ensure the judges can get a full understanding of the project: “One vital element is to make sure you include clear photos of the project, before, during and after the work—we want to see what you started with and the process, as well as the finished product and photos that show off your excellent workmanship.

“If you can, we would also like you to tell us how you navigated challenges, or went the extra mile to make sure you achieved a great result. Excellent supply chain management, using the project to help apprentices develop their skills, or even involving the local community are impressive elements that we always want to recognise.

“We also want to see your commitment to best practice in health and safety.”

NFRC wishes to thank the event’s sponsors: Radmat Building Products, Bauder, Cromar Acrypol, CUPA PIZARRAS, ICB, Marley Ltd, Recticel (UK) Limited, Siderise, SIG Roofing, and Sika Ltd. Without these sponsors, it would be impossible to keep ticket prices for the awards ceremony down, and to ensure as many companies as possible can access the event, despite significant cost increases in the hospitality and events industry over the past couple of years, says NRFC.
