Dan joins the business at an exciting time of buoyant commercial performance and a renewed sense of direction. With a strong career in delivering health and safety initiatives at organisations as diverse as Glastonbury Festival and Sainbury’s, Dan plans to bring his knowledge and expertise to take safety at the company to the next level. SIG UK Health and Safety Model As part of the Return To Growth strategy which has seen SIG UK come back financially stronger, the business is committed to making health and safety a key organisational priority. Dan’s role will be to review the SIG UK model for health and safety and implement cultural change. This involves a thorough review of processes and removing barriers or processes that don’t add value. The aim is to make the H&S topic more engaging, looking at what realistically works for employees and for the business as a whole. Return to Growth Strategy His hope is to capitalise on the momentum generated by the success of the company’s Return To Growth strategy and deliver positive change within the business. In turn, Dan sees this as an opportunity not only to improve safety within SIG UK but make the business a more attractive employer. Speaking on his appointment, Dan commented; “I’m really excited to join SIG UK as the business goes from strength to strength. There is a drive internally to be the best for health and safety and I can’t wait to contribute and lead the overall strategy.
