National Buying Group Welcomes Two New Roofing Merchants

THE NATIONAL Buying Group (NBG), Britain’s buying group for independent merchants, has added to its list of partners by welcoming About Roofing Supplies Ltd, Alltype Roofing Supplies Ltd and Peterhead Hardware & DIY Ltd.

About Roofing Supplies, founded in 1998, operates four branches across Surrey and West Sussex and is now a first choice for local contractors. Managing director Jason Rivolta said joining NBG would allow the firm to access better deals, whilst maintaining its position as a trusted, local independent merchant.

Jason said, “We want to be able to deliver our personal approach with the professionalism expected of a much larger business. We thought it was the right time for us to join a support network of industry professionals, start building relationships and getting the right products at competitive prices.”

Alltype Roofing Supplies, that opened its doors in 1979 in south east London, has also joined the group. The independent merchant is one of the region’s leading specialists in roofing supplies.

The long-standing relationships that NBG has with its members is a testament to value it brings. New Roofing Merchants

Third new member, family-owned Peterhead Hardware and DIY Ltd, formed in 1997 and based north of Aberdeen, supplies trade and the public through a single branch. The central location houses both North East Timber Supplies supplying timber, building and plumbing supplies and Taylor Made Interiors supplying a range of British and German kitchens and bathrooms.

Peterhead Sales Director Michael Taylor, said: “Other merchants in our area and across Scotland are NBG members so we’ve been aware of the group for some time. Joining NBG will mean we can continue to work with similar suppliers but will have access to more products and deals. For us, it was the clear option.”
