MCRMA Membership Expands Further as CA Group Returns

THE METAL Cladding & Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) has strengthened its membership with the return of building envelope specialist CA Group as a member after a six-year hiatus.

As one of the UK’s largest roofing and cladding companies with divisions spanning system manufacture, installation, maintenance and refurbishment, the depth of CA Group’s technical knowledge and experience will further enhance the metal building envelope expertise within the association, whose membership now totals 55 companies.

CA Group Returns

The CA Group joins the MCRMA’s ‘system manufacturers’ membership category, reflecting its position as a major designer and manufacturer of metal building envelope systems and products. These include a built up roof and wall system, a secret fix roofing system, façade systems, renewables and sustainable solutions in the form of its CA SolarWall technology, fabrications, plus daylighting and rainwater management solutions.

Commenting on the company’s decision to renew its membership, Neil Alderson, Group Managing Director of the CA Group, said: “In a rapidly changing construction sector, we believe there has never been a more important time for our business to have a prominent position at the forefront of the industry. This is important to ensure we can provide strong technical leadership and effective support for all those involved in the metal building envelope supply chain.

“Becoming an MCRMA member will help us to do this more effectively and enable us to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the industry as it rises to the challenges of higher performance, sustainability and safety standards.”

CA Group’s membership renewal follows the approval of several other major industry players as members in recent months. In addition to new systems manufacturers, the MCRMA has also seen an increase in the number of organisations wishing to join its component manufacturer, system installer and industry support categories.

Given their position in the market and the breadth of metal building envelope projects the company undertakes, they will be able to make a valuable contribution to the association and have unique insights to share with the membership.

With a larger membership, the association is better placed to expand its range of technical guidance documents and CPDs, and involve more contributors in the consultations to shape future standards.”
