Roof tile manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles has announced a further £100,000 investment to support the production of plastic accessories and components for its concrete roofing systems.

The company has purchased a 1 + 1 Dry Verge injection mould tool to help deliver improved durability and longevity, reduce maintenance downtime and increase the production capacity of commercial dry verge components and fittings.

New Tool

The tool has been designed and manufactured by UK-based Neptune Injection Limited and will be situated at the company’s 28,000 ft dedicated plastics facility in Burton on Trent.

“We have invested more than £600,000 since 2021 in developing our uPVC accessories manufacturing facility and our new injection mould tool fits seamlessly into our operation,” said Daniel Hancox, Corporate Sustainability and Development Director at Russell Roof Tiles. “This latest upgrade will continue to help us deliver high-quality, fully integrated roofing systems for our customers.”

Expanded Production

Russell Roof Tiles‘ dedicated plastics facility, which has been operational since 1997, manufactures a range of profile-specific accessories designed to fit with the company’s concrete tiles.

The manufacturer says this latest investment supports the continued call for specifiers to carefully assess the quality credentials of their dry fix systems and accessories to ensure they are fully compliant with the latest British roofing standards.

Gary Statham, Director at Neptune Injection Limited, commented: “We are delighted to have completed the design and manufacture of the new commercial 1+1 Dry Verge injection mould tool for Russell Roof Tiles.

“Seeing the completed tool go straight into production and produce high-quality parts is a great demonstration of the precision engineering and manufacturing expertise we have here in the UK. Russell Roof Tiles is a well-established and respected name within the roofing industry, so we were particularly pleased to have the opportunity to work with them.”
