Managing Director Completes Equivalent of More Than Two Marathons in One Day

BARRY MAIRS, M.D. of specialist flat roofing company Antrim-based GBS Roofing ran an epic 60 miles in one day to raise money for a children’s cancer unit.

Two marathons

Barry ran the gruelling 60 miles from Portrush to Belfast, Northern Ireland in aid of the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

He completed the run – the equivalent of more than two marathons – in 11 hours. So far he has managed to raise over £7,600 for the unit.
