LRWA Charity Challenge Returns for 2025

GET READY to walk, run, cycle or swim for a great cause, as the Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association (LRWA) Charity Challenge returns for 2025.

The annual team competition, to raise funds for youth homelessness charity LandAid, will take place from Monday 23 June to Friday 11 July 2025.

The challenge invites teams of up to 10 people from across the construction and roofing sector – including both LRWA members and non-members – to walk, run, cycle or swim as far as possible in just 30 minutes.

Participants can take part from any location, and each activity is measured using correction factors to level the playing field. Distances must be tracked and submitted via apps such as Strava.

Bonus Kilometres

Bonus kilometres are available through creativity, fundraising, and team spirit, which include one km bonus for uploading a photo, and one km bonus for a video of a participant during their activity, which is then posted on LinkedIn or X (Twitter) with the hashtag #LRWAcharitychallenge.

A five km bonus is available to the team with the most original location photo, which is decided by a public vote. A further 10km bonus for every team raising more than £500, and for the team that raises the most funds for the LRWA’s chosen charity, LandAid.

Individuals can also achieve a five km bonus for running, swimming, walking, or cycling the longest distance in their category.

“Whether you’re scaling peaks or running the pavements, we can’t wait to see how the teams get on this year. It’s a fun and inclusive event for all abilities and fitness levels, with an underlying objective of raising money for such a worthy cause.”

The challenge is free to enter. Teams must register by 20 June 2025 to take part.
