A NEW VIDEO has been released by LHC on its framework for Pitched Roofing for the supply and installation of pitched roof coverings and associated works.

LHC is a not for profit organisation that brings buyers and suppliers together to build and maintain public buildings efficiently and cost effectively.

The Pitched Roofing framework has been live since July 2016 and has now been extended for another year to end in June 2021. Pre-tender engagement will begin shortly.

The framework is for all public sector and charity organisations to procure roofing works for domestic, educational and other public buildings. It offers these organisations full turnkey solutions from surveys and design to supply and installation and all associated components and building works.

The video from LHC explains how projects are weighted on quality and price and the bands for different workstreams that encourage access for a range of different-sized roofing contractors. It takes viewers through the tender process and discusses next steps.

Procurement in Scotland

In Scotland, a similar organisation called the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) is also reviewing its roofing framework.  In the last financial year, 2019/20, SPA’s partners registered projects valued at over £230 million through its frameworks, which was a 48% rise on the previous year.

The organisation is currently in the process of re-offering and procuring its Design, Supply and Installation of Roofing and Associated Works.

Scottish suppliers interested in tendering for the framework can register their interest via ProContract or Public Contract Scotland. Once registered, they will receive information at every stage of the tender process.

SPA pre-tender engagement workshop webinars are taking place at the end of June for potential suppliers and SPA partners.
