Kingspan Launches A1-Rated Flat Roof Insulation

KINGSPAN INSULATION has introduced K-Roc Flat Roof Slab 70/039, a Euroclass A1 rated insulation slab that is fully compatible with most mechanically fixed single ply waterproofing systems.

The rock mineral fibre insulation has a thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK and is available through specialist insulation distributors and selected roofing merchants across Great Britain.

A1-Rated Flat Roof Insulation

The product can be installed above new or existing metal, concrete and plywood decks and is compatible with most green roof systems. Its A1 Euroclass reaction to fire performance has been assessed under Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP) System 1.

It forms part of Kingspan Insulation’s full spectrum of insulation solutions for flat roofs. This includes the popular Thermaroof range of PIR flat roof boards, Thermataper tapered roofing systems and the OPTIM-R Roofing System which features vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) with a thermal conductivity of just 0.007 W/mK – providing a solution for applications where available depth is at a premium.
