Jewson Launches Quick Guide to Building Regulations for Trade

RECENT CHANGES to building regulations are summarised in a new guide for tradespeople by national builders merchant Jewson.

The changes apply to most new builds, renovations and extensions, including domestic, commercial and industrial projects, and impact the day-to-day work of tradespeople. Everyone from builders and roofers, to plumbers and electricians need to get their head around the updates which are designed to improve sustainability and help the UK reach its target of carbon net zero by 2050.

To highlight how the changes will directly affect the trade, the Quick Guide to Building Reg Changes breaks down the regulations and highlights the key areas where changes now need to be made.

It covers insulation, wastewater heat recovery, lighting, ventilation, preventing overheating and an introduction of facilities for electric cars.
