ISG Collapse Blamed for Architectural Glazing Firm Administration

AN ARCHITECTURAL glazing company specialising in preventative and reactive maintenance has appointed administrators.

Vitrine Systems Limited became insolvent on 25 October it was revealed, following the collapse of ISG.

Vitrine Systems appointed administrators Nicholas Simmonds and Chris Newell both from Quantuma Advisory Limited.

The administrators say the company failed following on from the collapse of ISG which left them with a substantial bad debt and impacted the business’s viability. The administrators also spoke of lost projects and pipeline contracts.

Architectural Glazing Firm Administration

Vitrine Systems began life as Portal Roofing in 2001, changing its name in 2008. It saw rapid growth and began extending its client bases as structural glazing specialists in both the design & build and refurbishment sectors.

Installing bespoke structural glazing, the Pilkington Planar and curtain walling systems, recent projects included Channing school in North London, a retail centre in Maidenhead, the Greyfriars building in Reading and a Life Sciences building for Bristol University.

All 23 Vitrine Systems staff have lost their jobs and been made redundant.

Bibby Financial Services Limited and Lloyds Bank PLC have registered charges against the company.
