Read the latest magazine Industry News Institute of Roofing No Longer Accepted for CSCS Cards 8 December 2025 CSCS will no longer accept new applications for Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) cards based on Institute of Roofing membership from 1 January 2026. The decision follows confirmation that the Institute of Roofing (IoR) is in the process of dissolving. Existing CSCS cardholders can retain their cards until 30 September 2026, after which they will be withdrawn. Any new applications for the PQP card based on IoR membership must be submitted before 1 January 2026 in order to be accepted. Cards issued between 1 December 2025 and 31 December 2025 will have a fixed expiry date of 30 September 2026. Alternative CSCS Card Applications Members of the IoR are being offered a supported pathway to Chartered Institute of Building membership. For those who obtain CIOB membership, a new PQP CSCS card can be applied for. Alternatively, if individuals hold a recognised construction-related academic qualification, the Academically Qualified Person (AQP) card can be applied for.
