Read the latest magazine Industry News Merchants IBMG Acquisition of Cornish Fixings (Redruth) 1 March 2022 THE INDEPENDENT BUILDERS MERCHANT GROUP (IBMG) has announced its acquisition of Cornish Fixings (Redruth) Ltd. Established in 2011, Cornish Fixings (Redruth) is a single branch builders’ merchant supplying a range of building materials to trade and retail customers in and around Cornwall. It is a trusted local brand, with a reputation for outstanding customer service. IBMG is the largest independent builders merchant group in the South of England. IBMG Acquisition This acquisition continues IBMG’s strategy of developing its divisions through a combination of acquisition, new site development and organic growth. Strategically it strengthens member company, RGB Building Supplies’ south west division, extending its presence in Cornwall and providing a strong platform for further growth across the Redruth area. Culturally, both companies are highly aligned, sharing a common vision, independent ethos and commitment to providing the highest standards of customer service. Cornish Fixings will join RGB Building Supplies and Jon Sawyer, Cornish Fixing’s owner, will continue in the business, working with RGB’s Managing Director, Andy Gamble and Chief Executive, Kevin Fenlon to grow RGB’s presence in Redruth, Cornwall.
