Participants from across the housebuilding sector took on the hiking challenge, exploring the Black Mountains area of Bannau Brycheiniog in Wales (also known as the Brecon Beacons). The costs of the challenge were covered by sponsors TriConnex and Taylor Wimpey, allowing all the funds raised to go to Youth Adventure Trust. The £90,000 donation will enable 70 vulnerable young people between 11 and 15 years old to attend the first year of a three-year programme of outdoor adventures and one-to-one support designed to build resilience, confidence, and self-esteem. Housebuilder Challenge Declan Cotton, Senior Business Development Manager at TriConnex, said: “What a great couple of days we had on the mountains of Wales. The course was fantastic, the weather was thankfully clear and beautiful and everyone who participated from Triconnex absolutely loved taking part – some even got emotional as they crossed the line! “From a Triconnex teamwork point of view it is also a fantastic experience, we all work in different departments within the business, and it means relationships can be formed that you would not normally get the opportunity to have.” Mark Davey, CEO of Youth Adventure Trust, said: “We are extremely grateful to our sponsors for once again covering the challenge event costs, and to the teams who stepped up and embraced the challenge and raised vital funds for the Youth Adventure Trust.” To register your interest in entering a team or teams in the Housebuilder Challenge 2025, contact Philippa Cox, Corporate Partnership Manager at the Youth Adventure Trust. >> Read more of the latest charity news Previous article Impressive Line Up Confirmed for Roofing, Cladding & Insulation Expo at NECNext article New Appointments at The Rooflight Association Share article You may also like View all News Charity News +2 17 March 2026 Tips for Improving Workplace Stress Management Charity News +2 4 March 2026 Band of Builders Completes Life-Changing Project for Retired Builder Charity News +2 18 February 2026 Volunteer Roofers Needed for Upcoming Band of Builders Projects Charity News +2 12 February 2026 Charities Team Up to Deliver Suicide Prevention Live Webinar Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch Check out the latest issue 123 March-April 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch
