Get Ready for World Green Roof Day on 6 June 2022

GREEN ROOFS are being celebrated all over the world on Monday 6 June 2022 – World Green Roof Day!

The many benefits green roofs bring to people and nature are being hailed on this, the second annual World Green Roof Day 2022.

Benefits of green roofs include the green habitat they provide for wildlife, the amenity space they provide for humans and their cooling affect in built up centres, reducing the urban heat island effect in cities. Not only that, green roofs can help to slow down rainfall off roofs avoiding drainage systems becoming overwhelmed and flooding.

Get Involved World Green Roof Day 2022

The creators of World Green Roof Day, livingroofs.org and the EFB, partnering with Green roofs for healthycities, greenroofs.com and IFLAEurope want to engage with companies and other organisations from all around the world.

They want to hear why companies are involved in green roofing and the benefits green roofs offer and hope businesses will share on social media.
