Read the latest magazine Climate Change Industry News Sustainability Five Carbon Champions Join Construction Net Zero Leaders 5 November 2021 FIVE MORE COMPANIES have been chosen to lead the UK construction drive to hit net zero, as the world convenes in Scotland for COP26. The five companies are the latest cohort of the Construction Leadership Council’s CO2nstructZero Business Champions. The CO2nstructZero programme was launched earlier this year to unify the UK construction sector in its efforts to cut carbon. The new Business Champions are: Accelar FES Support Services J Murphy & Sons John Sisk & Son Reds 10 Construction Net Zero The new names mean that there are now more than 50 companies across the UK that have been chosen as Business Champions. Business Champions each make commitments to help the sector’s drive towards reducing carbon emissions in the delivery and operation of the built environment. Business Champions will work alongside the CLC and other major industry bodies to share innovations and best practice, acting as promotors and role models to support their supply chain to move to Net Zero Carbon. There has never been greater attention on carbon reduction, and we know the built environment will play a huge role in cutting global carbon.
