A third of the signatories are UKGBC members, reflecting a strong appetite for climate action from the construction and property sector. The letter has been coordinated by The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group in conjunction with business networks including UKGBC, The CBI, Aldersgate Group and IIGCC. Net Zero Carbon Bill Julie Hirigoyen, chief executive at UKGBC Julie Hirigoyen, chief executive at UKGBC said: “The writing is on the wall for business and policymakers alike: the time for climate action is now. This letter demonstrates that the climate crisis is rising to the top of boardroom agendas by the sheer number of business heavyweights calling for Government to legislate for a net zero carbon UK. “No doubt many of these leaders recognise the growing opportunities of transforming their businesses for a net zero carbon economy. Given that the built environment contributes around 40% of the UK’s total carbon footprint, this is particularly true of the construction and property industry, so we’re delighted to see so many of our members as signatories on this letter.” List of Signatories UKGBC member signatories to the letter are: Allies and Morrison Argent (Property Development) Services LLP Arup Atelier Ten Avison Young Barratt Developments Plc Bennetts Associates Architects Black Architecture BPF British Land Bruntwood Carbon Credentials CBRE chapmanbdsp Cundall Ecovid Elementa FORE Geoffrey Osborne Limited Grosvenor Britain and Ireland GS8 Hanson UK Hermes Investment Management Hillbreak Hoare Lea LLP Igloo JLL Lendlease Europe Lipton Rogers Developments LLP Mitsubishi Electric, Living Environmental Systems UK Mott MacDonald Limited Multiplex Construction Europe Limited Redevco UK Ltd RIBA SEGRO Sheppard Robson Skanska UK StudioDS TFT The Crown Estate Troup Bywaters + Anders UKGBC Volans Willmott Dixon WSP XCO2 The full letter is available here. >> Read more about net zero in the news Previous article Government Urged to Include Construction Roles in Shortage Occupation ListNext article VJ Technology Announces Acquisition Share article You may also like View all News Industry News +2 20 March 2026 RA Issues Revised Safety Guidance on Rooflight Covers Awards and Events +3 20 March 2026 The Great British Slate Off Returns for 2026 Green Roofs +3 20 March 2026 Swansea Joins Global Network of Biophilic Cities Featured Solutions +3 19 March 2026 Flush Fitting Rooflights by Clement Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch Check out the latest issue 123 March-April 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch
