The Evolution or Extinction Roadshow webinar will be on Wednesday, 7 July 2021. The hour-long roadshow will see Caroline Meehan, CAN vice-Chair and Federation of Master Builders (North) Director and Mediaworks experts explain why the region’s construction firms should have a digital presence. Caroline will talk about commerce, consumer behaviour, and working environments. She said: “I cannot stress enough to North East builders how important it is to have a digital presence and to understand how to develop and grow your business through digital platforms. Understanding the value of digital platforms and what they can offer is vital. From a simple Google local listing, through to engaging with clients on social media as well as your website ranking for services through searches looking for new contractors. “As business owners who do not tend to sit at a desk all day and may not have huge amounts of time to dedicate to your businesses digital presence, this event will be valuable in helping understand the potential impact digital can have.” Brett Jacobson, Mediaworks chief executive said: “There is scope for North East firms to really disrupt the market and create a clear, competitive advantage. “We will utilise experts from commerce, brand, performance marketing and website development on the roadshow and we aim to inspire those working in commercially-focused roles to embrace digital change and become the market leaders of tomorrow.” Construction Alliance North East formed in 2015 to represent regional SME contractors in the North East. Priorities are procurement streams and the tendering process and lobbying for fair payment practices. Evolution or Extinction will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday, 7 July.
