Burton Roofing Celebrates Sunderland Branch Opening

BURTON ROOFING has relocated and officially opened its new branch in Southwick, Sunderland.

The move, completed last month, created one of the UK’s largest dedicated roofing merchant facilities. It marked Burton Roofing’s ambition to become the country’s leading roofing merchant.

The new site is a major investment aimed at improving stock availability, enhancing service, and providing a first-class working environment for the Sunderland team.

Bigger & Better Branch

The new premises showcase the refreshed Burton Roofing livery and corporate identity. Customers gain from expanded stockholding, upgraded facilities, and enhanced efficiency.

Opening Day Event

On 23 October 2025, Burton Roofing held an Opening Day event attracting 150 customers and members of the local roofing community, with 15 suppliers showing their latest roofing innovations and product demonstrations during the day.

There were live demonstrations, exclusive offers, and a Grand Raffle, with a first prize – a new roof valued at £2,000 –won by Anthony Potts of R A Roofing, a local contractor.

The event was attended by Burton Roofing’s Senior Leadership Team, along with suppliers and partners from across the UK, who praised the impressive new facilities and the strength of the local team.

Remarkable Success

Founded in 1982 and with 37 depots, the newly located branch of Burton Roofing Sunderland can be found at Pottery Road, Southwick, Sunderland, SR5 2BP.
