Read the latest magazine Industry News BSRIA Signs up NACE to Membership 18 June 2019 THE NATIONAL Association of Chimney Engineers (NACE) has announced that it has joined BSRIA membership this month (June 2019). NACE is recognised within the roofing industry for controlled services, (chimneys, flues and combustion appliances) statutory compliance, consumer safety, fire risk and workmanship expertise. It is a not for profit independent organisation that provides both the professional and consumer with engineering expertise and compliant methods relating to chimney lining/relining, flue and chimney alteration, new build design and construction. NACE is also a member of the Construction Industry Training Board that supports the associations NVQ Level 2 in Chimney Engineering. NACE aims to remove fire risk from domestic environments, increase safety standards and educate operator/end users with regard to the lowering of air pollution as a direct result of burning wood and coal products. BSRIA Signs up NACE Stacey Ward, Membership Manager, BSRIA Stacey Ward, Membership Manager, BSRIA, said: “It is fantastic news that NACE has come into BSRIA membership – and at corporate level. NACE offers the general public direct access to their register of skilled chimney engineers and to their technical/legal data base for professionals and consumers who require technically competent industry expertise or assistance with non-compliant workmanship. “NACE will be able to utilise the expertise of BSRIA and the know-how in this team, it is very much hoped that NACE will play a prominent role within the BSRIA membership family and engage with our networking events.” Howard Cane, CEO, NACE, said: “NACE is delighted to have joined BSRIA membership.
