Bouygues UK Meet the Buyer Event for £70m Zone One Development

A MEET THE BUYER event is being held by design and build company, Bouygues UK has been appointed to start constructing Zone One of Carmarthenshire Council’s Pentre Awel development.

Pentre Awel is the first development of its scope and size in Wales, bringing together life science innovation, community healthcare and modern leisure facilities at the 83-acre Delta Lakes site on the Llanelli coastline.

Zone One will see over £70million of public sector investment and will include education, business, research, leisure and health facilities to provide social and economic benefits to people in the region.

In partnership with the council, Bouygues UK is engaging with local suppliers and trades to highlight the range of opportunities involved with the construction of Zone One. The company will be hosting the first of several Meet the Buyer events at Parc y Scarlets on March 30^th 2022.

The company is liaising with the Regional Learning and Skills Partnership, schools, colleges, universities, and local employment agencies to ensure employment and training opportunities for local people are maximised during the construction phase.

Bouygues UK says it requires all subcontractors to be verified at Common Assessment Standard to be considered for future work opportunities.
