Read the latest magazine Industry News People Bill Rumble Named as Managing Director of Avonside Group’s Energy Division 26 February 2021 FOLLOWING A SERIES of strategic divisional structures Avonside Group CEO, Eddie Stanton has appointed Bill Rumble as managing director of the Group’s Energy Division. Bill was first appointed divisional director of Avonside Group’s Energy business following the Group’s acquisition of BillSaveUK in August 2019. He has led a restructuring and refocusing of the operation resulting in a profitable and scalable business focusing on quality and service. Energy Efficiency Evidence Reacting to his recent appointment Bill said: “I am delighted that Eddie and his team see the huge opportunities ahead for Avonside’s Energy Division. We have the talent and vision within my team to capitalise on the ever-increasing significance of our offering to house builders.” “The ‘real-world’ performance of energy conservation and generation systems will become increasingly important to policy makers, our customers and our customers’ customers. My team and I will use our industry-leading systems and innovative technology to give evidence inspired confidence to those who entrust the installation of these systems to Avonside Energy. Part L Changes “A key priority for us now is to understand the needs and challenges facing our customers arising from the new Part L ‘Conservation of Fuel and Power’ regulations and how we can best support them as a quality-focused, strategic supply partner with national reach.” Bill Rumble Bill studied Manufacturing Engineering at Nottingham University following a four-year apprenticeship with the MoD. He began his career by joining Ford Motor Company after graduation and worked there for 12 years. During his tenure, Bill performed a variety of roles, predominately in sales and marketing, including brand manager for the Ford Fiesta, advertising manager for Ford of Europe and global product marketing manager for Aston Martin. Since then, Bill has spent the past 15 years in the energy efficiency and renewables industry, where he has drawn experience from operations in three continents. Earlier this year, Avonside Group appointed Richard Bostock to the position of Social Housing Business Director.
