This new product offers a number of benefits for roofing projects, being designed to deliver thermal insulation for upstands in flat roof constructions, as commonly used in inverted roof systems. Benefits for Roofing Projects BEWI Upstand Board is manufactured from mineral wool insulation, factory-bonded to an external-grade, high-impact fibre-cement facing board. The product is engineered to ensure durability and provide a robust, weather-resistant, and impact-resistant finish. It can be used to provide non-combustible thermal insulation up to and across compartment walls, for low level inverted roof parapet upstands, which meet standard thermal break requirements. “We are confident the new Upstand Board will become a popular feature on flat roofing sites on account of its benefits,” says Jim Meagher, Group Business Development Manager. “These include its low thermal conductivity which provides a thermal break at the base of the upstand and for perimeter walls on a flat roof. It is compatible with most flat roof waterproofing systems and provides Euroclass A2-s1,d0 for buildings up to and over 11m high.” >> Read about more featured solutions in the news Previous article The Fight for Facades: Incorporating Building Services Effectively in the External FacadeNext article JAL Roofing Begins Re-roofing Grade II Listed Burton Market Hall Share article You may also like View all News Featured Solutions +3 1 October 2026 Introducing Ulti-Slate from Ulti-Mate Featured Solutions +2 24 September 2026 A Tested Mitigation Layer Cover Board Featured Solutions +2 17 September 2026 Proctor Group Supplies Membrane Products to Social Bite Villages Featured Solutions +3 17 September 2026 RubberCover Celebrates 20 Years – A Complete Roofing System Built to Last Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch Check out the latest issue 126 September-October 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch
