The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) has welcomed the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) as a CCPI Organisation Associate.

By joining the CCPI, the architectural body has pledged its commitment to improving the quality, clarity and integrity of construction product information used across the built environment.

CCPI Organisation Associate

CIAT represents Chartered Architectural Technologists and professionals involved in the technical design, specification and delivery of buildings. As an Organisation Associate, CIAT will help to raise awareness of the importance of clear, accurate, up-to-date and unambiguous product information and encourage engagement with the Code across the wider industry.

Amanda Long, Chief Executive, said: “Architectural Technologists are central to the specification and technical coordination of construction products, and the clarity and accuracy of product information directly affects their ability to make informed decisions. CIAT’s support reinforces the importance of raising standards in construction product information across the entire built environment.”

Raising Product Information Standards

The CCPI works collaboratively across the supply chain to build back trust in construction product information and marketing and to support ‘meaningful and lasting’ culture change.

CCPI now has over 150 registered organisations working with the Code to raise their standards of product information, and over 150 product sets on the market carrying the unique CCPI Mark (representing some 3000 products), awarded to product information that meets the requirements of the Code.
