21 November 2025

LANCASHIRE BASED roofing products manufacturer and supplier, Easy-Trim Roofing and Construction Products Ltd is reported to be entering into administration.

The company, owned by Memtech Ltd, saw the end of Jamie Lee Govier’s tenure as Managing Director on 11 September 2025, after previously being a director of the company since 2005.

Employing 64 people, the Easy-Trim business manufactured and supplied roofing and construction products from its 9300m2 base in Altham, near Blackburn. Its products bore the Made in Britain branding.

The company’s accounting period was due to be finalised at the end of the year. The last accounts lodged with Companies House show a revenue of £18.1m for the year to 31December 2023 with a pre-tax profit of £233,000 following a loss of £45,000 the previous year.

Finance Facilities

The company, which banked with HSBC, used invoice finance facilities and its banking facilities were due for renewal in December 2024.

Commenting on the firm’s ability to remain a going concern, in 2022, parent company Memtech Ltd had said that the business “under normal trading conditions is able to meet its debt repayments when due. However, given the current macro economic uncertainty, a material uncertainty does exist.”

Highlighting the company’s reliance on its financing facilities, it added “The validity of the going concern assumption is dependent on continued support from the group’s bankers and from the ability of the group to generate positive cash and earnings.”

The 2023 accounts show that the cash position of the business worsened, reporting a deficit of £382,782.
