Construction Industry’s Chance to Vote its Support for The Lighthouse Club

Construction industry charity, The Lighthouse Club, is calling on firms and employees across the sector to vote for it to benefit from a £20,000 donation pot pledged by Hudson Contract to mark its 20th anniversary.

The Lighthouse Club is one of just four charities that can benefit from the generous initiative being launched by the leading construction audit, contract and payroll provider to celebrate its birthday and give something back to both the industry and leading good causes.

Anyone can vote for their preferred charity here and each one of the four charities will receive a percentage of the £20,000 pot based on the total number of votes it receives online before Friday 27th May – so your vote really counts!

The four charities appealing for the nation’s vote are:

  • Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) – preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families
  • Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) –  charity funded lifeboat search and rescue service, dedicated to saving lives at sea
  • Children with Cancer UK – national children’s charity funding research, welfare and campaigning projects to help children with all types of cancer
  • The Lighthouse Club – construction industry charity dedicated to providing support to workers and their families

Ian Anfield, managing director of Hudson Contract, commented: “What better way to celebrate 20 years in business than by launching a charity initiative that will make a real difference to four fantastic causes that are very dear to our hearts.

“With us having worked in the construction industry for 20 years, we also wanted to ensure that The Lighthouse Club was included as it provides such invaluable support to construction workers and their families. Voting takes seconds and we’d urge everyone in the industry to pledge their vote online before Friday 27th May.”

The charity vote website will also provide a live update on the amount each charity has been voted to receive.
