Scott Bader Promoting CrysticROOF BBA Premier Cold Applied GRP Roofing System

The two flat roofs on either side of the central clock tower of the Southern Colonnade entrance at King’s Cross Station in London were refurbished in 2013 with CrysticROOF BBA Premier GRP flat roofing system, as specified by Network Rail.

At Ecobuild 2016, which this year runs from 8-10 March at the ExCeL exhibition centre in London, Scott Bader is exhibiting once again to promote its BBA approved CrysticROOF range of cold-applied resin based glass fibre reinforced (GRP) roofing systems.

The CrysticROOF product range was developed by Scott Bader specifically for manufacturing flat and pitched roofs, offering a long-lasting, leak-free alternative to using more traditional flat roofing materials such as bitumen, felt and lead. All CrysticROOF products are fully compatible with standard, commonly used OSB3 boards, edge trims, fillets and flashings.

Visitors to the Scott Bader stand (E5050) will be able to see a cutaway of a fabricated CrysticROOF GRP roof section and find out about its top of the range CrysticROOF ‘BBA Premier’ system with a 25 year guarantee if installed by a certified contractor using 600g CSM chop strand mat glass reinforcement with the correctly specified CrysticROOF laminating resin and topcoat.

This ‘BBA Premier’ system is fully approved by the BBA for flat roofing and includes a duel high performance fire resistant (FR) and UV weather resistant isophthalic topcoat as standard, which combines superior long term weathering and BS fire rated performance.

Providing an FR rated topcoat as standard has proved very beneficial to many installers and contractors, which have avoided running the risk of not complying with fire safety regulations.

The CrysticROOF Premier system meets BS476 Part 3 for all roof structures and shapes including: flat, valley and pitched roofs, walkways, roof-lights and balconies. When installed by a qualified Scott Bader trained and accredited CrysticROOF installer, depending on the CSM specification selected, either a 20 or 25 year materials performance guarantee is given for the roof to remain watertight and maintenance-free.

Due to be launched later in 2016, Scott Bader plans to extend the CrysticROOF range with a new “CrysticROOF in a Box” kit, which will come in a convenient box with full installation instructions and all the materials and application tools needed to cover a 12 sq. m roof.

The complete range of CrysticROOF products is stocked exclusively in the UK for Scott Bader by SIG Roofing Supplies and supplied nationally, along with high quality trims and ancillaries to roofing installers via local SIG outlets.  Information about approved installers, local suppliers, plus brochures and videos about how to apply CrysticROOF is all available online at www.crysticroof.com or e-mail enquiries@crysticroof.com
